Sam Cook, Mark Plunk (RIP), Hans J. Underwood, and Frank Fullbright stand at the refueling point situated at Plei Djereng airfield, just northwest of Pleiku. This was the final refueling stop before flying into Cambodian airspace. Notably, three copies of the photograph were created and distributed—one each to Sam Cook, Frank Fullbright, and myself. We’ve kept this memory for over half a century.
